Facebook, on tuesday, unveiled the messenger app for iPhone and Android based devices which allows users to send instant messages to others via facebook or text message.
The messages sent are notified to the recipient through text messages or notifications. The app can send messages to anyone whether he/she is in your facebook friend list or a contact in your phone. The friends who do not use this app on their mobile will receive your message via simple text message.
